When you login for the first time and your National Identification Number (NIN) is not found in the system, you will be redirected to the registration page. Here, you will be prompted to select the type of registration that applies to your situation. Below are the options available in the dropdown list:

1. New Registration

- Who should select this?
Citizens aged 18 years or older who are registering to vote for the first time.
- Purpose:
For individuals who have never been included in the register of voters and are eligible to vote.

2. Naturalisation

- Who should select this?
Naturalized citizens (individuals who acquired citizenship through legal processes) registering to vote for the first time.
- Purpose:
Ensures naturalized citizens are added to Register of Voters After completing all the registration processes.

3. Returning Residents

- Who should select this?
Seychellois citizens who were residing overseas and are now registering to vote in Seychelles.
- Purpose:
Facilitates voter registration for citizens re-establishing residency in the country and meet the requirements of the Elections Act.

4. Reinstatement

- Who should select this?
Citizens who where registered but were removed from the Register of voters due to disqualifications from registration under the Elections Act. (e.g., due to inactivity, errors, or legal reasons).
- Purpose:
Restores voting rights for individuals who need be re-instated after their names were struck off.

5. Pre-Registration

- Who should select this?
Citizens who are 17years old and will turn 18years between the closing of the register and election day in an election year.
- Purpose:
Allows eligible citizens to pre-register and vote in an election taking place during an election year.
